I am the lighthouse keeper, who tends that glowing flare.

I warn the lost and weary of the perils close at hand

And with this bright, warm amber light, I guide them back to land.

I am the lighthouse keeper, and I am never worse for wear.

I am the watchman on the wall, who searches day and night.

I dare not close my eyes for sleep or look away in fear.

Sworn to guard my tribe, and blow the horn when trouble's near.

I am the watchman on the wall, and I will always fight.

I am the wiseman of this town, who knows the things of old.

I'll tell my people how it was and teach of former times

So errors won't repeat themselves, and they'll avert those crimes.

I am the wiseman of this town, remember truths I've told.

I am the young one growing up, who learns my peoples' ways.

I'll heed the words of elder ones and strengthen form and mind.

Then one day I can be like them, so vigilant, not blind.

I am the young one growing up, protector for these days.
